Flaw

2021. Silk, gold thread.

This is a piece with a story. As I worked with my assistant to wind the warp onto the loom, his hand started to bleed, resulting in a stain on the white silk. As imperfection has become so integral to my practice, it was clear that this flaw should be incorporated into the piece. The fault in the cloth is highlighted with gold thread.
